Biogas
Biogas is produced by anaerobic degradation of organic compounds and could be the substitute for natural gas and fossil fuels. It contains mostly three components, which are methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen (N2). However, other trace species exist as well, which are hydrogen sulfide (H2S), hydrogen (H2), nitrogen (N3), ammonia (NH3), oxygen (O2) and carbon monoxide (CO). Furthermore, typical biogas is saturated with water, dust particles, siloxanes, aromatic and halogenated compounds.
